On Tuesdays in March we are thinking about traveling and the practice of illustrating stories about those trips. The focus of this session was organizing objects that depict an event, a pastime or a special memory. It was such good stuff.
On Monday we began our March study in art journaling by illustrating small objects in our midst. In an effort to keep looking up, we painted the moon, learning to build color density and mood. This is the good stuff.
The March schedule is posted for greenwater garage online sessions! This month will be all about developing a journaling mindset, so you can work in a bound tablet or create individual, small-format paintings or drawings. It's always fun, involves a little learning and sometimes we make fabulous artwork! 😁
Drawing Club continued our colored pencil practice with wagons as our prompt.
Monday was all about choosing a color palette and creating a composition using pinwheels as the form. The work produced by the participants is always so much better than what I post here! This is the good stuff.
Our colored pencil practice continued tonight with our choice of architecture as the subject. Knowing your tools is the first step, then we began to interpret our structures. So. Much. Silence. This is the good stuff.
