zoom in the room

Though many people say they are “all done” with online gatherings, the greenwater gang met friends from other places as we continued our practice on Zoom in 2020. We have friends in OR, TX and NJ who join us regularly and we have friends in the rough country of British Columbia, urban Toronto and Adelaide, Australia, who we hope to see again.

I realized that including everyone would only be possible if we could bring the online group into our in-person sessions – so we do!

There are minor changes from the way I set things up in the beforetimes. In-person participants bring the majority of their own supplies, we have a maximum of 12 in any one group, and we have a registration system for everyone through Eventbrite. Registration is required whether you attend in-person or online.

Some things are the same, though. We still learn color theory principles whenever we can squeeze them in, I still read poetry at Drawing Club, I still believe erasers are unnecessary, the table conversations are still lively and silence is still a common occurrence. Everything seems normal with zoom in the room. Join us sometime!

  1. K,

Glad to know you continue to have great things going on there. Very cool that you are so international! I hope you are enjoying your classes, the participants and your summer so far!
