It's tonight, folks! Art is available for viewing from 6-8pm today. It's your chance to see the work of these young artists and ask them about their work.🌟

The Tuesday Drawing Club is working on how light and shadow defines surface texture. (Media shown here is watercolor pencil, second image is washed.) We chose a subject related to laundry. When you learn to see things differently the little stuff is the good stuff.

On Mondays this month we're studying illustrators and learning from their work. This week was the limited palette and drama of Nikolai Senin of Russia. This is the good stuff.

The Mixed Media and Drawing Club sessions for May have been posted and we'd love to have you join us! Check out the material list, pull out your art supplies and let's paint/draw together. Begin where you are and learn something new in the company of others. 🙂

The Drawing Club worked on composing schools of fish in watercolor pencils after another relaxing warmup. Step and repeat, darker for depth, draw as they swim. This is the good stuff.

The Monday gang tangled with vibrating color then began our decorated turtle studies in gouache. We discussed individual art practice goals and experiences - all resulting in getting to know each other better. Camaraderie is truly the good stuff.
